Microsoft Systems Engineer

As a systems engineer on our team, you'll have the chance to develop or revise system designs and architectures to improve efficiency, stability, effectiveness, supportability, and sustainability in support of the Navy client. Your technical expertise will be vital as you engineer solutions to solve problems and implement enhancements that span multiple applications or technologies.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience with IT, systems management, and overseeing complex IT infrastructure in a systems engineer role

  • Experience with IT monitoring solutions, such as Microsoft Systems Center Operations Manager (SCOM), SolarWinds, ManageEngine, or Dynatrace

  • Experience with configuration management and asset compliance solutions, such as a Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)

  • Experience with Microsoft PowerShell to automate installation, configuration, hardening, and maintenance tasks

  • Experience with Agile framework and Scrum

  • Knowledge of Linux or Windows OS and networking from a system design perspective

  • Ability to create and test virtualized environments, such as VMWare, OpenShift, Hyper-V, or AWS, for development and testing procedures that are traceable to system requirements

  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

  • DoD 8140 or 8570 Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II Certification

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with Ansible Automation Platform playbook creation and development

  • Experience with programming or scripting languages such as Bash, Python, HTML, or Java

  • Experience with Veeam Backup and Replication

  • Experience with AI/ML for IT service management

  • Experience with RedHat Ansible or Satellite

  • Experience with Knowledge Management systems

  • Experience with Linux administration and BASH scripting

  • Knowledge of integrated development environments (IDE) such as Visual Studio Code, for Git management and code revision

  • Bachelor's degree in CS or Engineering

  • Microsoft Certification such as MCIT, MCSA, or MCSE Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
