Job Summary

Senior Director New Build Sales represents a critical function for all expansion activities as a multi-faceted role that supports Optimum Business Development and growth initiatives. You and your team will carefully orchestrate different groups around a new build process to deliver on coax, fiber, and FTTH services. You will lead your team to success by strategically developing partnerships with local operations teams and developing a plan to effectively capitalize on new construction opportunities. You will be responsible for growth at the OMS and national accounts level, and for delivering on targets that will drive subscriber and revenue growth.

Responsibilities

*Lead, evaluate, and coach staff to create a network of builder and developer partnerships in current and future Optimum communities.
*Lead the National Accounts Director in identifying, cultivating, and developing national accounts to deliver on growth across the entire footprint
*Drive quality funnel growth to support Optimum new build goals
*Develop performance management structure to create accountability and successful attainment of Optimum growth objectives
*Identify, hire, develop, and train the new build AEs and National Accounts Director to successfully grow the business
*Develop a comprehensive growth strategy aimed at effective planning, scheduling, and executing on activities that will result in the effective penetration of new build areas.
*Responsible for the implementation of the department strategies to achieve monthly and yearly goals and objectives as related to expansion, penetration, and revenue goals.
*Work with area leaders and executive teams to prepare a multi-year Business Plan addressing market, operational, and financial targets.
*Leads research activities and working sessions as it relates to strategic expansion activities with B2C and B2B sales teams, Growth team, Procurement, Government Affairs, Legal, and Construction as required.
*Partner with sales, product, and marketing to ensure we maximize go-to-market strategies.
*Coordinate with Legal to review and update required documents.
*Prepares and presents daily, weekly, and monthly KPI's including executive program updates on New Build activity as required.
*Lead efforts with developers, utility companies, and contractors to partner with Optimum on joint trench access.
*Negotiate mutually beneficial arrangements for Optimum and developers, builders, homeowners, and HOAs, including but not limited to bulk, EMA, sole provider, and joint trench partnerships.
*Coordinate activities and marketing opportunities with local municipalities, HOA's, Chambers, EDC's, Homebuilder Associations, Developers Etc.
*Must be able to understand the new build process and work with internal construction, project management, sales and growth teams to develop and execute on plans for residential new build projects.
*Work with local operations to address persistent issues raised by builders, customers, and governmental officials.
*Coordinate with Area leadership, Marketing, and Sales Channels to ensure engaged participation and support at builder and community events.
*Work with builders and developers to determine marketing and concierge needs connecting with direct sales team to maximize returns on all projects.
*Develop a strategic position with builders to generate leads on new home move-ins.
*Performs other duties and undertakes special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

*Bachelor's degree in Business (or Management), Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or a related discipline preferred. Equivalent work experience may also be used in conjunction or in place of educational requirements.
*10+ years of leadership experience, with progressive leadership experience demonstrated
*Experience in New Build Construction processes, including working within the existing project management software (Workfront) a plus.
*Experience in business process re-engineering or process improvement desirable, involving broad-based information systems and utilizing tools and techniques to effect business change.
*Demonstrated business development experience and leading teams to exceed expectations.
*Demonstrated ability to resolve roadblocks to delivery in multi-organization teams where no direct management responsibility exists.
*An ability to present and discuss technical, functional and management information in a clear and concise way that explains complex topics, is persuasive and promotes consensus.
*Ability to perform multiple tasks and adjust priorities based on workload and direction from management and customer.
*Ability to solve problems independently.
*Schedules may include working weekends depending on project deadlines.
*Ability to maintain highest degree of confidentiality and diplomacy.
*Ability to travel up to 35%.
