We are Seeking a Staff Pharmacist for our Arlington, TX location.

Hybrid (home office and on-site) Schedule: 40 hours/week Monday - Friday 10am - 6:30pm

Responsibilities

  • Reviews and approves formulary alternative recommendations and communicates via outbound calling to physicians and customer nursing facilities
  • Sends formulary alternative recommendations to physicians; This position is instrumental in various projects such as: UTA testing for changes made to the DGA process, TI changes, and PA application enhancements.
  • Reconciles Therapeutic Interchange alternatives for physicians and facility staff
  • Works with General Managers and CAPh pharmacists at all pharmacy locations to ensure compliance with formulary switch procedures. Utilizes MMIT to check formularies for accuracy
  • Provides clinical expertise by responding to formulary drug-related questions and concerns initiated by internal (Technicians, Nursing Staff, Pharmacists) and external (Physicians, Directors of Nursing, Administrators and Nursing Staff) customers
  • Provides training and direction to pharmacy management and pharmacy associates on Clinical HUB formulary switch procedures
  • Directs Pharmacy Technicians as needed
  • Assigns tasks and schedules for Clinical HUB Technicians
  • Performs other tasks as assigned


Qualifications

Education/Learning Experience:

  • Required: Masters/Doctoral Degree in Pharmacy
  • Desired: Pharm D

Work Experience:

  • Required: Up to one year in a retail, mail-order or institutional pharmacy environment
  • Desired: Three to five years' experience in a retail, mail-rder or institutional pharmacy environment; Prior supervisory experience

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Required: Knowledge of federal and state regulations, clinical drug knowledge, computer data entry skills

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Required: Current State RPh license
