Job Description:

Principle Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care for family medicine patients at Hastings, MN clinic.
  • Review patient medical history while collecting, prioritizing, and synthesizing comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
  • Evaluate, interpret, and coordinate information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care.
  • Provide education, consultation or intervention to patients (treatment plan) and their families.
  • Work collaboratively with patients to improve their health and well-being.
  • Practice in a thoughtful manner including consideration for cultural diversity, individual autonomy and legal responsibilities.
  • Actively participate in multidisciplinary team approach to case management.
  • Function appropriately as part of care delivery team through efficient use of resources and skills.
  • Chart in electronic format in accordance with licensure and scope.
  • May provide care in an ambulatory clinic, inpatient or outpatient hospital setting and perform office procedures.
  • May participate in on-call rotation.
  • Utilize quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes, or workflows.
  • May participate in peer review and quality assurance.
  • Focus on preventative care; women's health; chronic pain concerns; osteopathic manipulation treatments; and addiction treatment.

Required Qualifications

  • MD, DO degree or equivalent.
  • Must be BE/BC in Family Medicine with ABMS or AOA.
  • Must have or be immediately eligible for MN medical license.
  • Must have certification in BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support - Multisource.
  • Must have hands on experience creating and implementing quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes, or workflows.
  • Must have hands on experience focusing on preventative care; women's health; chronic pain concerns; osteopathic manipulation treatments; and addiction treatment.
