Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented outbound shipping lead to oversee our outbound operations. The outbound shipping lead will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing the shipment of products to customers, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. Under the direction of the Outbound Supervisor. Position is responsible assisting in the management and operation of the warehouse including leading and giving direction to warehouse team members. To ensure the warehouse area is safe, clean and organized. To oversee, coordinate, and participate in the picking and shipping of customers' orders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: All matters listed herein are essential job functions. There may be other job functions which are essential, but not listed below. Also, Terex may revise the description at any time deemed necessary.

  • Maintain high customer satisfaction levels while ensuring high quality.
  • Assist in managing the outbound shipping team, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, including warehouse, inventory, and customer service, to prioritize and fulfill outbound orders efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and requirements, including customs documentation, hazardous materials handling, and shipping labels.
  • Implement and maintain best practices for packaging, labeling, and loading/unloading procedures to prevent damage and loss during transit.
  • Measure and address the effectiveness of team member performance.
  • Control and organize order distribution and warehouse flow.
  • Communicate position expectations to team members.
  • Ensure housekeeping duties as assigned to keep the warehouse/shipping areas clean and clear of debris.
  • Maintain emails with a maximum of 24 hour response time during working hours.
  • Complete data Entry and Systems Updates.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED. Three years' experience in warehouse environment. Minimum of one year experience in a lead role. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be substituted (minimum three years' experience).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Computer skills including Microsoft Windows programs (i.e. Word and Excel).
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Proven experience in outbound shipping management
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven experience in coordinating and directing operations.
  • Highly efficient supervisory techniques and skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to move parts and material up to 50lbs. in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to bend and lift throughout the day, manually unloading and loading merchandise.
  • Ability to work at heights (up to 22 ft high on cherry picker)
  • Ability to bend and stoop repetitively.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures.
  • Ability to go up and down mobile stairs on a consistent basis all day

The salary range for this position is $22.00 to $25.00 per hour.
