The Boat Shipping position is responsible for loading finished boats, motors, and trailers on various types of transportation methods.
Prepares the transports for loading by placing and assembling steel rails and components in the proper configuration for the type and mix of boats being loaded. Places boats and motors on the trailers by operating powered lift truck. Loads and secures the boats, motors, and accessories by using various types of strapping and tie down equipment. Unloads trailers shipped from the trailer manufacturing plant and place in a pre-determined location in the yard by use of a power lift truck. Maintains clean, safe and hazard free work area. ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
