RN Surgery (Ambulatory/Endoscopy)

Full Time - 0.8 FTE

Day Shift:

• 4, 8-hour shifts
• Start time between 5:30 AM - 8:30 AM

• The Endoscopy Unit provides 24/7 coverage with 2 nurses or 1 nurse and an endoscopy tech.

  • On call required 1 night a week + every 4th weekend

Ambulatory:

• Focuses on pre-op and post op care for patients of all ages undergoing surgical procedures.
• Nurses assess, prepare the patient for surgery, and gives comprehensive discharge instructions.

Endoscopy:

• Performs procedures like colonscopies, bronchoscopies, EGDs, and ERCPs using flexible, camera-equipped instruments to diagnose and treat conditions in internal cavities and organs.
• Features advanced imaging and monitoring technology, staffed by specialiezed providers, nurses, and techs who ensure patient safety, comfort, and percise outcomes.
• Manages food bolus cases and vairous other procedures, typically performed in Endo, the OR, or ICU.

Education:

• Diploma from an RN program.

License(s)/Certification(s):

• Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in primary state.
• Must apply within 90 days for licensure in secondary state.
• Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Must possess and maintain ACLS
