Job Description

The EDGE development program is a full-time, direct-position placement program for college graduates and early career professionals. The EDGE program is designed to help you build the skills that you need to be successful in your role. This program offers a variety of exciting career paths that will provide an opportunity to flourish in an inclusive environment as you learn the ins and outs of the Banking industry and build leadership and technical skills. ABOUT YOUR ROLE

The Business Intelligence Analyst collaborates with business partners to understand the reporting and dashboards
requirements, working on multiple projects and interacting with multiple cross functional teams.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

1. Conducts requirement gathering and building of meaningful reports, visualizations, and dashboards for
consumption by multiple stakeholders, preferably using Microsoft Power BI.
2. Considered an expert in reports and dashboards.
3. Identifies issues concerning data accuracy.
4. Knowledge of all main data sources for the data used within the business unit and ability to effectively utilize
these data sources for reporting purposes.
5. Troubleshoots reporting and data quality issues by interacting with Data Quality Analysts, Data Engineers and
Software Engineering team, looping in the business units as necessary.
6. Works with business partners to develop or enhance BI solutions by defining scope, analyzing and documenting
requirements, and designing best-practice deliverables.
7. Follows processes and design reports to boost the business intelligence of the Bank.
8. Provides ongoing supports to regional presidents on their reporting requirement including daily, weekly and
monthly reports.
9. Leverages SQL queries or ad hoc method to perform above tasks.

Requirements

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU




  • Ability to develop reports and dashboards using visualization tools like Microsoft PowerBI or similar.
  • Demonstrated understanding banking business context.
  • Ability to quality check reports and dashboards data and business rules accuracy.
  • Knowledge and excellent MS Office Suite skills (particularly MS Excel).
  • Nice to have SQL experience and working with relational databases skills.
  • Highly motivated and organized, with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; strong interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to quickly become familiar with the Bank's database framework, and the sources and uses of data.



YOUR QUALIFICATIONS


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Internship experience as data analyst or related field preferred.
  • Experience in banking environment a plus.

Will interact with a range of bank employees in a variety of seniority levels. Must have strong interpersonal
skills.
