The College of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Health & Disease is recruiting a Senior Clinical Research Professional to plan, evaluate, coordinate, and/or manage elements of multiple or complex clinical research projects.

Essential Functions

  • Create study-specific source documentation.
  • Conduct study participant assessments for patients including Informed Consent and study eligibility and collect necessary documentation.
  • Draw required study labs following good clinical practice and document appropriately.
  • Interface with physicians and staff to support practice issues specific to recruitment and follow-up of participants for the duration of the study.
  • Follow large caseload of study participants from study screening through end-of-study evaluations, including all necessary source documentation and data collection/entry.
  • Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI): Identify, collect, and analyze data that serve as a basis for outcome measurement of assigned clinical research studies.
  • Assist in establishing standard operating procedures for continuous review and development of quality improvement plans for our unit.
  • Advance research objectives through participation in professional committees and presentations.
  • Participate fully as a vital member of the Research Team to ensure the continued success and growth of our unit.
  • Complete continuing education and training programs as assigned on a continual basis, in addition to continuing education required for licensure renewal.
  • Other duties as delegated/assigned by the Clinical Research Director/ Manager or Principal Investigator.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree must be in a related field.
  • Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

Three (3) years of related experience.

Additional Qualifications Considered

  • Master's degree.
  • Experience in an academic or clinical setting in the area of clinical specialization.
