As a Student Intern in Gensler's Oakland office, you will join our creative studio environment for a full-time, paid internship opportunity starting February 18th-April 25th. You must be available for the entire duration of the program.
What You Will Do
You will have an exciting opportunity to work on work-place interiors projects as a fully collaborative member of a design team, participating in design charrettes to help define strategic goalsfor our clients, large or small. Collaborate with designers, architects, directors, and managers to plan, design, develop andgain real-world experience working with clients across a spectrum of industries and locations. In addition to hands-on learning, you will experience educational sessions, either in-person or virtual, and mentorship opportunities that include lectures, project tours, and vendor visits. Your Qualifications
You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or Architecture. You have completed your third year of an under-graduate program or first year of a graduate program and returning to your program after the internship. This internship is not for recent graduates. Experience using Revit required, AutoCAD, and/or BIM modeling, Enscape software a plus Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign) 3-D computer rendering skills (Enscape, Sketch Up, 3-D Max, and/or other modeling software) Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) Hand sketching ability a plus Ability to work 5 days a week in the office
