Job Overview:

The Credentialing Analyst works under the direct supervision the Director of Medical Staff Services. Duties and responsibilities include reviewing, verifying and following up with the processing of incoming applications for medical staff appointments and privileges. Prepares and processes reappointment applications for Medical Staff Services. Analyzes incoming information to determine applicant's eligibility and compiles and evaluates provider-specific data for review by Medical Staff leaders. Recognizes, investigates, and validates discrepancies and potentially adverse information received from applications, primary sources, or other sources. Verifies and documents expirable information using acceptable Primary or Equivalent Source Verification. Performs data entry of applicant information into credentialing database to ensure accurate and current information is maintained. Maintenance and storage of medical staff files. Provides administrative support of the Joint Credentials Committee and its Department Chairs. Maintains records and disseminates information of staff privileges as appropriate. Ensures strict confidentiality of physician data. Processes requests for privileges, verifying appropriate training/current competency; responds to queries pertaining to provider's status; applies clearly defined credentialing & privileging processes to providers; attends and presents requested Medical Staff information in accreditation surveys; coordinates meeting logistics including document preparation and follow up for TriHealth Joint Credentials meetings; and prepares minutes & exhibits of Medical Staff actions for MEC and Board.

Job Requirements:

High School Degree or equivalent

3-4 years experience Healthcare preferred

1-2 years experience Administrative support role
