Responsible for end-to-end delivery of Commercial products, from deployment to adoption with a high degree of autonomy and authority. Implements change management, including updates to workflows, training and communications. Oversees product documentation, ensuring appropriate retention of product development timelines, budgets and roll-outs. Contributes to product strategy development and partners with Director, Product or Product Manager and business to communicate development challenges and opportunities. Builds and maintains strong collaboration with the team and ensures product capabilities align to business strategy and expected outcomes.



  1. Responsible for understanding the current state of product development and the associated workflows and communication plans. Develops new product ideas, documents product requirements and maintains workflows with a high degree of independence.
  2. Independently and effectively translate product management narratives features ensuring expected outcomes are achieved.
  3. Reviews, analyzes, and approves testing plans for products with moderate complexity.
  4. Prepares timeline and prioritized work list for the delivery team (scrum team) while focusing on business value. Responds to first level questions and communicates delays across stakeholders.
  5. Assesses and represents development challenges throughout the product lifecycle, offering solutions to the Director, Product or Product Manager, removing impediments to team progress, and communicating concerns to stakeholders.
  6. Provide training and support to key stakeholders throughout the strategy, roll-out and feedback life cycle for products.
  7. Collects, assimilates, and communicates feedback by incorporating Voice of the Customer input, evaluating customer feedback on product features, and offering professional assessment of product functionality and user experience.
  8. Maintain information on competitive intelligence, industry trends and consumer need to ensure competitive advantage as well as additional tasks as assigned.


Requirements and Qualifications:



  • Highly proficient written and verbal communication skills
  • Possesses knowledge and practical application of Agile methodologies
  • Possesses knowledge of software development life cycles
  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to write and interpret requirement documents for complex business systems
  • Proficient ability to multi-task and manage workflows to meet and exceed production and service expectations
  • Proficient ability to solve problems and make sound decisions
  • College degree preferred
  • 3+ years of business analysis experience
  • 3+ years of experience in an insurance role
  • Demonstrated success in leading projects from inception to delivery


The expected starting salary range for this role is$90,000 - $150,000. The actual base salary is based on geographic location, and the range is representative of salaries for this role throughout Selective's footprint. Additional considerations include relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance, and business needs.
