What is the Opportunity? Reporting to the Head of RBC Regulatory Relations, Governance & Reporting, the Associate Director will provide strong analytical and business analyst support to the Regulatory Relations Governance team with respect to regulatory engagement and reviews (exams) and various weekly, monthly & quarterly reports by maintaining a thorough documentation of exams, meetings, and deliverables. You will also maintain effective oversight of 2LOD Regulatory Issues Management processes to ensure alignment with RBC (parent) and be the primary point of contact for the creation, enhancement, and reporting of department's metrics reporting. What will you do?
With minimal supervision, provides reporting and analytical support across all RBC entities. Serves as central support contact for regulatory exam reporting, including answering questions from internal stakeholders, troubleshooting problems, managing change requests, and performing training. Create and provide management updates including associated metrics and meeting materials. Summarizes and prepares reporting that communicates exam activity and issues for both the Prudential as well as Markets Regulators and assists with the production of the Monthly Regulatory Engagement Calendar. Manage expectations internally and externally in responding to reporting requests for various Board level committees and assists with the production of high-level briefings of regulatory interactions for senior management. Works closely with partners in other Functions and segments, to ensure consistent, insightful and clear communications to senior management. Supports enterprise-wide reporting programs, such as RegComp, by recording and updating results of regulatory exams, issues, and investigations. Tracks regulatory risk through a monthly metrics report detailing Regulatory Relations themes and trends in regulatory exams, inquiries, and continuous monitoring. Assists with the development and expansion of the department's new inquiry and exam recordkeeping system (SAI360) and develop technical enhancements working with the vendor. Assist in the various improvements for a consistent Regulatory Issues Management strategy that aligns with RBC enterprise standards and regulatory expectations; and
What do you need to succeed?
Graduate degree, Master's degree preferred Solid Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office skills Exam management experience (preferred) Extensive and comprehensive regulatory knowledge and expertise (5+ year minimum) Excellent written and oral communication skills Effective organization skills, including the ability to prioritize between tasks and deadlines Excellent judgment and analytical skills Attention to detail and accuracy are essential

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $110,000 - $190,000 (New Jersey/New York) depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
