THE JOB:
Entertainment Lighting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing labor during set-up, operation and maintenance of equipment needed for live events (i.e. corporate meetings, concert production, theatrical productions, special events, etc.) Lighting Supervisor will maintain the integrity and safety of stage, and other BOH and FOH related areas. Lighting Supervisor will oversee receiving and returning of all rental and venue owned gear or supplies.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Assist production manager with daily duties to include show billing, scheduling labor, and show advancement.

  • Lead stagehand or conversion labor to complete assigned tasks.

  • Ensure on call/ temporary and technical personnel respect standards and regulations regarding the safety of theatre equipment and apply safe work methods.

  • Provide support and assistance to other technical areas in the theatre or on property as needed

  • Overseeing trucking logistics of load in/outs

  • Ensure on call/ temporary and technical personnel respect standards and regulations regarding the safety of theatre equipment and apply safe work method

THE STARTING RATE: $38.00

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent

  • 2+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience Professional experience in live entertainment including 1 year of experience with ordering/managing stagehand labor, supervising

  • Experience with Grand MA lighting consoles

  • Experience with entertainment networking

  • Prior experience with union and non-union crews

  • Knowledge of moving light fixtures and entertainment rigging

  • Prior experience with Vectorwork Spotlight and or AutoCad software
