THE JOB:
As an Assistant Executive Steward, you will be responsible for assigned operational functions within the department. You will also set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Oversee daily tasks in the department to ensure they align with the company's plans, budget, and goals for both short- and long-term success.
• Ensure excellent guest service is delivered and matches the company's standards and brand image.
• Manage staff, including hiring (with a focus on diversity), training, coaching, giving feedback, handling discipline, and creating schedules.
• Suggest new ideas for products, services, technology, or processes to improve operations.
• Regularly check equipment and kitchen areas to make sure they're clean and meet health standards.
• Request new or replacement equipment as needed.
• Approve and monitor orders for cleaning supplies and equipment to control costs while maintaining quality.
• Keep track of inventory for dinnerware, flatware, and glassware, and order replacements when necessary.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Highschool Diploma, GED or equivalent
• 2 years of experience of prior relevant experience
• Ability to work varied shifts to include weekends and holidays
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Able to plan and coordinate work with vendors, contractors, and other internal departments.
• Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills
