Mechanical Trades Technician - Fulltime - Afternoons (3p-11:30p) - Wyandotte

GENERAL SUMMARY:

To operate, troubleshoot, and repair Mechanical H.V.A.C. Refrigeration and Plumbing System with their auxiliary components, controls, and stations.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Starts-Stops systems, operates, logs, and adjusts Mechanical H.V.A.C. Refrigeration Systems.

* Troubleshoots and repairs pneumatic air compressors and their related components.

* Addresses and repairs major or minor plumbing problems. Repairs valves, traps, fittings, and controls. 4. Dismantles malfunctioning equipment and performs diagnostic testing.

* Performs basic electrical troubleshooting.

* Rebuilds and installs pumps, electric motors, and other related equipment.

* Performs rigging of heavy mechanical equipment.

* Prepares daily readings, logs, and energy data.

* Maintains and operates welding, soldering, and brazing equipment.

* Reads blueprints, schematics, and maintains code compliance issues.

* Instructs other department personnel in emergency plant situations.

* Performs preventive maintenance functions: Operates computerized energy management systems. 13.Performs all other duties as directed.

* New-hire break-in and helpers
