THE JOB: The Laborer is responsible for offering general support across all areas of the property. All tasks must be carried out in compliance with federal, state, and local laws, as well as regulations, ordinances, and company policies, procedures, and practices to maintain the overall integrity of the facility. STARTING RATE:$29.09 an hour THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Parts and Equipment Transport: Responsible for transporting parts, materials, and equipment to designated work areas as needed. Relocations and Project Assistance: Assist with office, furniture, and casino equipment relocations, as well as demolition and cleanup on construction projects. Maintain logbooks accurately. Emergency Response & Coordination: Respond to facility emergencies, coordinate containment and repairs, and report daily operational conditions. Ensure assigned work orders are completed and closed out. Vendor Pickups & Warehouse Maintenance: Pick up parts and supplies from vendors and keep the property maintenance department warehouse clean and organized. Task Completion: Efficiently complete all tasks assigned by Dispatch or Management. Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Operate and maintain motorized and power equipment, such as skyjacks, forklifts, scissor lifts, and jackhammers. Also, fuel and service engineering vehicles as required. Tool Room Management: Manage the inventory of keys and tools in the Engineering Tool Room. Independent Task Management: Work independently with minimal supervision to complete tasks promptly. Technical Knowledge & Reporting: Stay updated on current technical methods and inform the Shift Supervisor of any unusual conditions within the property. Compliance: Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and accident prevention. Adhere to the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Additional Duties: Perform other job-related duties as requested.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Availability: Must be available to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience: At least 1 year of previous experience in the hospitality industry or a similar environment is preferred. Certification: Possesses a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification, demonstrating knowledge of pool maintenance, safety standards, and water quality management. Equipment Proficiency: Experienced in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and other motorized or power equipment. Physical Requirements: Capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crawling, and lifting up to 60 pounds regularly during physically demanding tasks. Attention to Detail: Demonstrates strong attention to safety protocols and proper equipment usage to ensure workplace safety and efficiency. Adaptability: Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
