Job Summary

VSolvit is looking for a highly motivated Software Test Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure the quality and performance of software applications. You will work closely with developers, quality assurance engineers, and product owners to deliver reliable and scalable software solutions.

As with any position, additional expectations exist. Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for software applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement test strategies and plans.
  • Execute automated and manual tests to identify software issues and ensure product functionality, reliability, and performance.
  • Analyze test results, document findings, and work with development teams to resolve defects.
  • Perform regression testing to verify application updates and ensure existing functionality remains unaffected.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery.
  • Develop and maintain test documentation, including test cases, test plans, and test reports.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in test automation.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in software testing and test automation development.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cypress, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle and agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with version control tools like Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
  • Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman or RestAssured.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience in a DevOps environment or with infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Certifications in software testing or test automation (e.g., ISTQB, Certified Software Test Engineer).
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
