Overview

Job Summary

The process improvement manager is responsible for evaluating and enhancing the IT business processes of our organization. They use data analysis, stakeholder input, and industry best practices to identify and implement and monitor process improvements that lead to better efficiency, quality, and cost savings. They work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that process improvements are aligned with business goals and objectives. Additionally, they manage and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Essential Functions

  • Analyzing and evaluating existing IT processes and systems, and identifying areas of improvement and optimization
  • Creating a culture of improvement by encouraging employees to identify problems and potential solutions
  • Developing and implementing IT process improvement plans and strategies, using various methodologies and tools, such as Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, and ITIL
  • Monitoring and measuring the effectiveness and efficiency of IT processes and systems working closely with cross-functional teams, and reporting on the progress and outcomes of IT process improvement initiatives
  • Creating a strategic plan for improving efficiency, reducing costs, or increasing revenue
  • Collaborating and communicating with IT staff, management, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration of IT process improvement goals and activities.
  • Providing training, coaching, and guidance to IT staff and other users on IT process improvement methods coordinating implementation of new processes
  • Collect, organize, and interpret large amounts of data from various sources, such as surveys, interviews, observations, or reports.
  • Recommend measures of the impact and benefits of the process improvements using key performance indicators (KPIs) and return on investment (ROI) calculations.
  • Staying abreast of the latest trends and developments in IT process improvement and innovation and applying them to enhance IT performance and quality.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Experience with service delivery and process improvement methodologies.
  • Proven track record of managing teams and business relationships.
  • Excellent quantitative analysis skills
  • Attention to detail in developing the associated scope, functional requirements, risk assessments, cost estimates, and plans, and tracking the delivery of approved projects and their associated benefits.
  • Strategic thinker able to understand the business direction and goals and their potential implications for the information technology systems required to support them.

Physical Requirements
Work is subject to high-level visibility through exposure to administration. This position requires high degree of proficiency in verbal and written communications. Must be available for callback support on a regular basis, due to schedules, extensive evening and weekend hours may be required at times for conversions, training, etc. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.

Base Pay: $103,251.20 - 154,876.80 annually

Base compensation listed within the listed pay range based on factors such as qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and/or training
Premium pay such as shift, on call, and more based on a teammate's job
Incentive pay for select positions

Education, Experience and Certifications
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred

  • Typically requires 5 years of management experience in an information technology department with a complex project mix.
  • Knowledge and experience with process improvement initiatives involving Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
