OVERVIEW:

The Christmas Assistant will be responsible for overseeing the Angel Tree Program. As well as providing general office and project-related support including general administrative duties.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Oversee Christmas Warehouse Toy Distribution
  • Schedule volunteers for the Angel Tree Program
  • Assure all volunteers check in/check out each time they provide assistance in the program
  • Assure the warehouse is kept clean and safe at all times
  • Prepare Angel tags for adoption
  • Keep accurate records for reporting
  • Contact sponsor companies and supply Angel Tree tags
  • Review and approve all Angel Tree applications
  • Collect, organize, and prepare all toys and gifts for distribution
  • Assist with coordination of food boxes distributed with toys and gifts to each household
  • Drop off and/or pick up red kettles from various locations
  • Drive to distribute Angel Tree tags, pick up donations and/or purchases
  • Maintains master calendar for facility and team
  • Prepares meeting minutes and monthly statistics
  • Maintains organization of files
  • Maintain inventory of supplies
  • Other related duties as required


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:



  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • CA driver's license (required)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:



  • Ability to lead

  • Detail oriented


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. (Usually file boxes)
