What you'll do:

Join our Parts Team and play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service. As the Parts Specialist for Independent Truck Fitters (ITU) (a Shyft Brand) based in Roseville, MI, you will engage with customers through various channels (phone, in-person, and email) to identify and recommend necessary parts, ensuring efficient solutions and minimizing downtime.

This position requires strong communication skills and a dedication to customer satisfaction.

You will also:

  • Handle parts sales and inquiries via phone, in-person, and digital channels.
  • Manage inventory accuracy i.e. Conduct cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Process inventory transactions i.e. Execute transfers, receipts, bookings, and adjustments.
  • Maintain work order records i.e. Input details, document shortages, and update changes.
  • Oversee fulfillment and verify unit accuracy.
  • Generate inventory and compliance documents i.e. Create certifications, tags, and reports.
  • Investigate and reconcile negative inventory and system errors.
  • Participate in initiatives to optimize inventory control.
  • Inform management of control gaps and compliance problems.
  • Participate in year-end counts and maintain documentation.
  • Place and receive orders for timely fulfillment.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization.
  • Fulfill special project tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or GED.

Minimum 5+ years of inventory management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Proficiency with ERP systems and inventory control procedures, including cycle counting.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Proficient computer skills.

Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

Valid driver's license.

Ability to lift and move objects weighing 10-100 lbs.

Mechanical knowledge is a plus.

Warehouse experience is a plus.

Team oriented mindset.
