About the Role

Metronome is seeking a Mid-Level Web Content Developer to create, maintain, and optimize dynamic, user-friendly, and secure web platforms in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment. This role requires a mix of technical expertise and content management experience, ensuring compliance with DoD security protocols while delivering an engaging user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage web content using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React or Angular.
  • Work with Content Management Systems (CMS) like WordPress, Drupal, or DoD-specific solutions.
  • Optimize web performance, implement SEO best practices, and ensure responsive design for accessibility.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD security standards (FISMA, NIST 800-53) and content privacy regulations (e.g., Section 508).
  • Implement best practices for secure web development, including content encryption and HTTPS protocols.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, translating technical concepts into clear, user-friendly content.
  • Maintain technical documentation, workflows, and web system updates.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in web content development, preferably in a DoD, federal, or highly regulated environment.
  • Strong proficiency in front-end web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and modern frameworks (React, Angular).
  • Experience with CMS platforms and web hosting on AWS, Azure, or DoD cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of security best practices, including data protection, HTTPS, and content encryption.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, or Confluence for documentation.
  • Understanding of UX/UI principles to ensure intuitive and user-friendly web content.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
