Software Developer

NS2 Mission is seeking a highly motivated and self-directed Software Developer to support a critical customer modernization initiative in Chantilly, VA. This role requires leveraging cloud infrastructure and services with expertise in both client-side and server-side web frameworks. As part of the development team, the successful candidate will collaborate with mission partners to design and enhance system features. We are particularly interested in individuals with a strong Full-Stack Development background.

Required Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • OR two (2) additional years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree
  • OR six (6) additional years of experience in lieu of a degree
• Technical Experience:
  • Proficiency in AWS cloud technologies, including:
    • EC2, CloudFormation, Terraform, Lambda, Auto-Scaling, CloudWatch, DynamoDB, and S3
  • Hands-on experience with databases:
    • Oracle 21c, SQLite, and Postgres
  • Strong background in Elasticsearch (as an administrator or programmer)
  • Demonstrated expertise in programming languages:
    • Java and/or Python, as well as Angular
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) tools:
    • Git, Jenkins, Puppet, Nexus, etc.
  • Excellent debugging, optimization, and unit/integration testing skills

Desired Qualifications:

• AWS Certified Cloud Solutions Architect Professional
• Experience working in an Agile team environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
