Pavion and our family of companies is seeking a sales professional to cover the new construction segment and sell fire alarm solutions into new buildings as well as large renovations. This role will be armed with competitive costs, supported by our OEM partners, and have flexibility to negotiate prices to win market share.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • You will establish contact with electrical contractors, specifying engineers, and key influencers in the new construction market segment
  • You will focus on Hi-Rise, Higher Education and Healthcare segments
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, get AFA into a position to negotiate and win projects
  • Maintain knowledge of local codes to drive change order opportunities after securing projects
  • Interface efficiently with branch operations and service team to deliver and improve operation and service delivery
  • Ability to provide accurate forecasting, pipeline, and closing strategies
  • Deliver sales against an assigned quota
  • Configure systems from plans and specifications, and support leveling discussions with economic buyers in the construction procurement proces


Basic Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years experience in sales construction market
  • Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record
  • Awareness of construction market in assigned territory
  • Highly motivated and success driven individual
  • Great oral and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to read plans and specifications and convert requirements into cost estimates
  • Ability to quickly identify and qualify opportunities - ensuring what is pursued is funded
  • Ability to persuade and close sales through acquired sales techniques
  • Computer experience (Microsoft, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word) as well as cloud-based systems


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Fire or security experience configuring and selling solutions to contractors
  • NICET level certification
