Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma- Tulsa, OK Monday-Friday 9am-5:30pm Essential Functions of Employment with DLO: * Show up for work, on time & prepared each and every scheduled work day * Perform all tasks and processes assigned to you including all tasks and processes you are fully qualified to perform and all tasks and processing that you may be over-qualified to perform * Maintain a positive and supportive attitude throughout each and every scheduled work day & work as a collaborative team member with your fellow teammates on a daily basis Main Duties: Perform testing in the areas of Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, and Serology in a reference lab environment.
Required Knowledge: Understanding of standard laboratory processes and procedures. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions. Must have a good understanding of laboratory quality assurance standards. Must have good computer skills.
Required Experience: AS degree in Medical Lab Technology or BS in Medical Laboratory Science. ASCP MLS/MLT certification or equivalent or be eligible for national MLS/MLT certification.
Special Requirements: Good customer service skills are a must. May be required to work outside of regularly scheduled hours. This position will have additional duties as assigned by the supervisor and DLO Leadership. Physical and Mental Requirements:
- The normal performance of duties may require lifting and carrying objects: Objects 1 to 10 pounds are lifted and carried frequently; objects 11 to 25 pounds are lifted and carried occasionally; objects 36 to 50 pounds are seldom lifted or carried and objects over 50 pounds are not to be lifted or carried without assistance.
- Ability to stand and work at the bench for long periods of time.
- Frequent walking and/or standing.
- May be required to use a wide variety of manual and automated pipettes and laboratory instruments and apparatuses all of which demand significant manual dexterity.
