Position Summary

Plug Power Inc. is actively seeking a highly motivated student to join our team. The student will be responsible for assisting the Product Compliance team in a wide variety of initiatives and projects in support of your academic studies and interests. In this role, you will gain exposure to a fast-paced manufacturing and engineering environment which includes developing a detailed understanding of Plug Power's products. The role will focus on Product Compliance for Hydrogen FC systems, Hydrogen Dispensing systems, Electrolyzers and Certification Processes.

Learning Objectives

Students will get out of this experience:

Learn the Basics of Compliance: Familiarize themselves with the relevant national regulations, directives, and standards (e.g., ISO, IEC, or country-specific standards); Understand the basics of functional safety evaluation (e.g., ISO 12100, ISO 13849). Get acquainted with internal company policies and workflows for compliance and certification. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Gain an understanding of how compliance integrates with product development and market strategy. Build knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in hydrogen industry. Develop technical writing and organizational skills by managing compliance documentation.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the compliance team to prepare technical documentation, SOP, WI, safety manuals, and compliance reports.
  • Review product designs for potential compliance gaps and recommend improvements.
  • Contribute to streamlining compliance workflows and tools for efficiency ( like example Windchill, QT9 and SharePoint).

Education and Qualification

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Engineering, Science, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of regulatory frameworks and technical standards. (Preferred)
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Interest in sustainable technologies and renewable energy solutions.
  • Must have reliable transportation to the office

  • Possess solid hands-on approach to problem-solving
  • Demonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent follow-through
  • Must be driven and self-motivated

Estimated Base Salary Range:

$21.00 - $25.00
