Your Role:

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing care to patients and their families. You will coordinate with other members of the care team to ensure seamless care delivery and actively involve patients in their care planning.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Patient Care: Provide nursing care to patients via direct and/or telephone contact, following established standards and practices.
  • Team Coordination: Work with other care team members to ensure maximal coordination of efforts and active patient participation in planning and care.
  • Clinical Assistance: Assist physicians or other providers with clinical procedures and participate in patient teaching.
  • Leadership: Provide direction to clerical assistants, medical assistants, and other non-licensed personnel.

Required Qualifications:



  • Current Nationally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification or the ability to obtain within 1 year of employment (Training and examination is provided and paid for in-house.)
  • 1+ years of clinical experience in a medical office, clinic or hospital setting


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with 1+ years of recent experience as a medical assistant
  • Current CPR / BLS certification


The hourly range for this role is $16.00 to $24.42+ per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
