- Drive sales and achieve sales goals per hour, by connecting customers to you and West Elm.
- Assist customers in store, virtually, and in their homes.
- Inspire associates and customers by connecting them to design trends, inspiration and local resources that reflect the creative and modern spirit of the brand.
- Develop and manage relationships with clients, designers, developers, and local businesses.
- Prioritize the customer and collaborate with your team to ensure adequate selling floor coverage during in store operating hours.
- Discover each customers' style by sparking conversation, sharing inspiration and consulting with them to learn how to bring their story to life.
- Share decorating expertise and develop thoughtful space plans that fit the customer's lifestyle.
- Develop mood boards and floor plans to help customers express their personal style.
what we are looking for..
- 1-2 years of home furnishing, interior decorating experience and/or interior design education.
- Excellent communication skills and passion for working with people.
- Excitement for the brand and products we sell.
- Must be able to spend ample time on the sales floor focusing on the customer needs.
- Willingness to travel for in-home consultations.
- Must be able to lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 75 lbs, while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
- Part-time associates must be available to work on the weekend (Saturday and Sunday), and 2 days during the week.
