Job Summary

Responsible for performing and assisting with 3D imaging and advanced computer application in medical imaging. Works with imaging modalities to prepare patients for medical cross-sectional imaging, provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. In collaboration with modality managers and the manager of 3D, helps to facilitate continuous improvement processes and assess radiology staff educational needs and requirements.All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's values: Inspire health. Essential Functions

  • Creates 3D models for multiple clinical service lines including but not limited to orthopedics, vascular, neuro, GI, and cardiology. Performs and assists with advanced imaging applications including but not limited to cardiac analysis and perfusion studies. Provides appropriate interpretive worksheets for applicable examinations and perform a variety of post processing applications on multiple imaging data sets. Reviews and discusses post-processing procedures with staff radiologists and physicians to assist in the development of new scanning and post-processing techniques.

  • Assists in the development of new procedure protocols related to 3D imaging. Obtains and verifies patient's clinical history, ensuring that information is documented and readily available to the licensed practitioner. Prepares 3D rendering to be utilized with internal and extern communications. Responsible for maintaining optimal 3D workstation performance by troubleshooting 3D equipment malfunctions, identifying hardware / software problems and arranging for repairs.

  • Prepares patient for procedures, administers contrast media as needed / medication and provides instructions to obtain desired results and avoid unnecessary radiation exposure. Positions patient and equipment to best demonstrate the anatomic area of interest, respecting patient ability and comfort. Participates in ongoing quality improvement activities. Performs such individual assignments as management may direct according to timeline given. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships within the organization. CT manager evaluates staff based on performance expectations that reflect their job responsibilities to include Point of Care testing.

  • Attends mandatory internal and external meetings and in-services as required and supports local professional society. Preserves patients' privacy and maintains confidentiality of patients' information. Ensures that services are provided in accordance with state and Federal regulations, organizational policy, and accreditation / compliance requirements.

  • Engages in continuous study of the entire professional field, including best practices, to maintain the professional competence, knowledge, and skills necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.

  • Achieve Patient Satisfaction for GHS. Results will be entered on the annual evaluation from the Patient Satisfaction scorecard located on the C2E website under the Experience Pillar. Adheres to the Standards of Behavior.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

  • This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education - Certification Program. Degree in a related imaging sciences such as radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Angiography, MRI or related.

  • Experience - Two (2) years of related experience

In Lieu Of

  • In Lieu of the education and experience requirements noted above, may be a graduate of a two (2) year hospital based radiologic technology program with one (1) year hospital experience and other listed qualifications.

Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses

  • ARRTRegistered and/or CT Certified

  • SCSQRSA License

  • CPR certified

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Customer service skills

  • Basic computer skills

  • Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier)

  • EMR

  • CT certified preferred

  • PACS preferred

  • 3D Imaging preferred
