Job Summary
B&A is looking for a
Grant Management Specialist to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a great team.
The Mid-Level Grants Management Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting all phases of the financial assistance management process. The incumbent will bring a wealth of experience and comprehensive knowledge to ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and industry best practices governing the administration of federal financial assistance awards.
Responsibilities
- Execute typical duties under close supervision, following instructions and pre-established guidelines.
- Assist in solving complex financial assistance accounting and financial problems.
- Conduct research, compile statistics, and present data to authorized government personnel.
- Prepare concise, unambiguous documents using Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Adobe, including MFRs, MOUs, and various documents supporting the entire lifecycle of financial assistance awards.
- Support price analysis, negotiation, and the appropriate use of funds.
- Participate in negotiations concerning complex financial assistance awards.
- Provide financial assistance and guidance on grants and cooperative agreements.
- Review grant applications for compliance with appropriate regulations.
- Prepare grant and cooperative agreement awards and amendments for authorized government personnel's signature in compliance with appropriate regulations.
- Document, record, and administer related performance per regulations and requirements.
- Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, execute first-line responsibilities for projects or functions, and perform various complex tasks with substantial creativity and latitude under general supervision.
- Possess strong oral and written communication and customer service skills to build relationships with a wide range of internal and external clients and stakeholders.
- Execute the final review of completed awards and process close-out documents.
Education and Experience
- Bachelors in a related field
- 5+ years of experience in Financial Assistance Management.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of federal financial assistance laws, regulations, and policies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Adobe for document preparation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Desired Skills
- Professional certification in grants management or related field.
- Familiarity with government financial systems.
- Experience with financial software tools.
