Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail oriented HR Generalist Intern to join our team. The intern will support the Human Resources department in various functions, gaining hands on experience in HR processes and operations. This position is ideal for individuals looking to start a career in Human Resources and who thrive in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Essentail Duties and Responsibilities

New Hire On/Off-boarding:

  • Support the onboarding process by preparing new hire documents and auditing new hire data accuracy.
  • Support employment terminations and related exit interviews and surveys.

Employee Relations:

  • Help address employee queries and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive work environment through engagement initiatives.

HR Operations:

  • Assist with maintaining accurate employee records and HR databases.
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping Human Resources information confidential.
  • Support payroll and benefits administration processes as needed.

Policy and Compliance:

  • Help ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  • Assist in drafting and updating HR policies and procedures.

HR Projects:

  • Participate in various HR initiatives to drive employee engagement and development.
  • Conduct research on HR best practices and provide recommendations for improvement.

Other Duties as Assigned

Experience/Proven Skills/Education

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous internship or experience in HR or a related field is a plus.
  • Familiarity with HR software and systems.
