Job Description:
Norton Rose Fulbright is seeking an experienced lawyer with 6 years of practice to join our Environmental & Mass Tort team. The ideal candidate will bring a robust background in environmental, energy, and natural resources law to advise clients on complex, high-profile, and high-risk issues at both national and international levels.

Key Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience with state and federal environmental regulatory programs, with demonstrated expertise in the following areas:

  • Project and Facility Permitting: Proficiency in securing environmental permits, including air, water, underground injection control (UIC), and offshore facilities permitting.
  • Environmental Review Processes: In-depth knowledge of CEQA (California Environmental Quality Act) and NEPA (National Environmental Policy Act) reviews.
  • Contaminated Site Management: Experience with site investigation and remediation under CERCLA (Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act), RCRA (Resource Conservation and Recovery Act), and California DTSC (Department of Toxic Substances Control) and State/Regional Water Boards site remedial authorities.
  • Agency Investigations: Hands-on experience managing investigations conducted by state and federal agencies.

* Transactional Due Diligence: Expertise in assessing environmental risks and compliance during transactions.
