ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Strategic Engineering Leadership:

Develop and execute an engineering strategy that aligns with PRI's broader organizational goals. Lead initiatives that enhance the quality and effectiveness of PRI's engineering and technical services, ensuring they meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations. Lead the creation of technical roadmaps that incorporate evolving technologies and customer needs, ensuring competitive advantage.

  • Technical Standards & Compliance:

Ensure the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of technical standards and compliance frameworks across PRI's engineering processes. Collaborate with external regulatory bodies and industry experts to maintain up-to-date engineering standards and practices.

  • Program & Process Optimization:

Lead engineering program development to support industry-specific performance reviews and accreditation processes. Optimize processes to ensure efficiency, scalability, and alignment with PRI's strategic goals. Implement data-driven methodologies to track and improve engineering performance metrics.

  • Leadership & Team Development:

Provide leadership and mentorship to the engineering team, ensuring the recruitment, retention, and development of top engineering talent. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, encouraging professional growth and cross-functional teamwork.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration:

Work closely with other departments, including operations, business development, and quality assurance, to support the integration of engineering standards into PRI's offerings. Ensure alignment between engineering activities and organizational goals, enabling PRI to deliver comprehensive, industry-leading performance solutions.

  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement:

Act as a technical leader and ambassador for PRI, engaging with key clients, industry stakeholders, and regulatory bodies. Represent PRI at industry events, conferences, and committees, building relationships and ensuring PRI's engineering contributions are recognized and valued globally.

  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement:

Promote the exploration and integration of new engineering technologies, methodologies, and tools to ensure PRI remains at the forefront of technical innovation. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance engineering processes and performance.

  • Budgeting & Financial Oversight:

Oversee the financial performance of the engineering department, managing budgets, resources, and investments to ensure cost efficiency and alignment with PRI's financial goals. Identify areas for cost reduction while maintaining high standards of service and innovation.

  • Risk Management & Compliance:

Ensure that all engineering activities are conducted in compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and internal quality standards. Identify and mitigate risks related to engineering processes, maintaining PRI's reputation for quality and reliability.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with a preference for disciplines such as Mechanical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience:
    • 15+ years of engineering leadership experience, ideally within industries related to PRI's scope (aerospace, manufacturing, etc.).
    • Proven experience managing engineering functions with a focus on standards development, accreditation, and performance review processes.
    • Strong background in leading technical teams and delivering engineering solutions that drive process improvements and compliance.
  • Skills:
    • Expertise in engineering standards, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
    • Strong leadership and team development abilities, with experience fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
    • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and industry leaders.
    • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of driving process efficiencies.
    • Strong financial acumen, with experience managing engineering budgets and resources effectively.
  • Key Competencies:
    • Strategic thinking with the ability to align engineering goals with organizational objectives.
    • Expertise in regulatory compliance and quality assurance for technical standards.
    • Effective leader with a focus on talent development, collaboration, and innovation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Master's degree or MBA is strongly preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to travel 15% of the time.
  • Standard office environment.
