Job Purpose

The Vehicle Service Contracts (VSC) Department manages the Honda Care and Acura Care vehicle protectionproduct programs, working to build Honda and Acura customer and dealer loyalty through premier productofferings and service levels. Departmental responsibilities include F&I product development, contractadministration, compliance, marketing, field support, customer service, claim adjudication, and expense control. For operation of the VSC business, product and program information exists across multiple systems and

databases, and the department relies on these systems and databases as reporting data sources. Theresponsibility of this VSC Business Analyst position is to fulfill business process & data analysis needs of thedepartment through activities including: daily / monthly / annual and ad hoc performance and financial reporting;development and oversight of departmental databases and systems supporting nearly $500M in VSC productsales; and supporting operational and business development initiatives. This role also contributes to the supportof various departmental projects and activities.

Key Accountabilities

Manage Departmental Reporting



  • Prepare & Distribute Daily / Weekly / Quarterly VSC Department reports
  • Maintain report data integrity & distribute reports per regularity requirements
  • Fulfill VSC management data analysis requests for business planning & ad hoc data analysis and reports
  • Lead, manage and develop small- and medium-sized projects that promote continuous improvement in departmental reporting and reporting tools
  • Support large projects impacting VSC data sources and data management


Manage Departmental Databases and Systems



  • Lead and manage databases and systems utilized by the VSCDepartment by working closely with VSC management, VSC staff and IT contacts
  • Support system changes and continuous improvement as part of normal business, including request submission to IT and coordination with VSC business & IT teams forcompletion
  • Lead business team activity for IT system modernization projects
  • Support business team activity and lead reporting changes related to business processchange: IT projects such as Customer Relationship Management platform launch,Customer Survey system implementation, and telephone system change & enhancements,digital sales platform launches, and other business improvement initiatives
  • Support business and dealer system-related inquiries and troubleshooting


Support VSC Department Activity



  • Support efforts to meet risk, performance and profitability targets and compliance requirements
  • Support department staff development of analyses for use in driving both operational and product sales initiatives
  • Support SOX and audit sample requests,development of internal audit reporting, invoice reconciliation and analyses
  • Support system price entry & table maintenance

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelors of Science and/or Bachelors of Arts degree in business, preferably finance or management, economics or information systems
  • Minimum of 5 years in a data analysis and reporting support-focused role, which required initiative, decision making and problem solving, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Proficient in Automotive Technology & Systems preferred
  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Demonstrate ability to communicate both technical and non-technical material at all levels
  • Proficient in planning and organizing in a fast-paced environment
