Financial Reporting Manager

Key Role:

Manage the external financial reporting process for a publicly traded company and ensure organizational adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Assist in the timely and accurate preparation of external financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A, including 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, in compliance with GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, and leverage working knowledge of SOX compliance. Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting packages, including the statement of cash flows, debt covenant reporting, key financial metrics, earnings releases, investor decks, Audit Committee materials, and other regulatory, contractual, or communications requirements as appropriate. Work closely with other departments to coordinate reporting activities, ensure that reporting deadlines are met, maintain timely communication of any issues with management, interact with external and internal auditors, assist in preparing, reviewing, and providing detailed audit schedules, analyses, and tie-outs of financial statements, and assist in maintaining a system of internal controls that is Sarbanes-Oxley compliant. Lead special projects and ad-hoc requests as necessary, including projects that require cross-functional cooperation, assist in process improvement initiatives, and research of accounting issues for SEC reporting to ensure our filings are in compliance with SEC and GAAP regulations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience with SEC reporting in a public company or public accounting firm
  • Experience with using Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of US GAAP or SEC reporting principles and regulations
  • Ability to effectively management time and competing priorities and deadlines simultaneously
  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience with US GAAP, or Master's degree and 3+ years of experience with US GAAP
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license Certification

Additional Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Smartview and Workiva
  • Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communications skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
