Moog Commercial Aircraft Group is looking for a Business Systems Auditor. You will report directly to the Business Systems Audit Manager/Site Quality Manager, you will perform internal audits to evaluate system effectiveness in support the systemic processes and integrating quality related processes and services throughout the Aircraft site Value Streams.

You will be a key participant across all aspects of the Audit Team and functions:

  • Conduct internal business systems (AS9100), process-based and product audits within Moog facilities;

  • Conduct Operator Self Verification (OSV) audits;

  • Provide input to the Business Systems Audit Manager and Value Stream managers relevant to the effectiveness of Moog processes;

  • Support external product and process audits conducted by customers, regulators and certifying agencies

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure Moog Business Systems are assessed for effectiveness and results are reported to responsible managers across the Value Streams.

You will be responsible for auditing the Moog Business Systems at the operational level. You will be responsible to evaluate the implementation and flow down of business processes throughout the operations value stream. The results of these evaluations and feedback will be critical to risk mitigation and in promoting, at a minimum, process, product, training and production initiatives to support the overall health and improvement of the Moog Aircraft Business Systems.

As a Business Systems Auditor, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Plan and conduct internal process-based audits relative to Moog Business Systems processes, OSV Operators, products and procedures in a timely manner and in accordance with audit schedule requirements.

  • Assist and Support operations and management personnel throughout the value stream in the implementation of improvement activities.

  • Assist in the coordination of external customer audit activities relative to Moog business systems and procedures.

  • Assist in investigating, answering and assigning responsibility of external and internal corrective action requests to responsible Moog personnel, as well as, verify effectiveness of the resulting actions to ensure mitigation of future occurrence.

  • Maintain and record external and internal audit results for trending analysis and provide follow-up audit results to appropriate Moog personnel to report status of corrective actions.

  • Work closely with the Business Systems Audit Manager/Site Quality Manager and other departmental personnel to help improve the efficiency in the external and internal audit processes, as well as, review discrepancy trends to determine and provide recommendations for improvements.

  • Provide assistance with department personnel relevant to process-based auditing techniques and conduct audit training for Business System Audit, OSV Audit and audit support personnel.

  • Prepare internal audit checklists and support documentation /procedures to facilitate Business Systems Auditing.

To be considered for the Business Systems Auditor role, here's what you will need to bring with you:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business or technical degree and experience in business systems, and quality assurance or control with three (3) years experienceoran Associate Degree and eight (8) years quality experience; or extensive related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

  • Experience conducting or participating in AS9100 audits, knowledge of Moog systems and procedures, and business and/or technical experience, preferred.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $70,000.00-$110,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
