Sentara Health Plans is currently hiring a Temporary HEDIS Quality Coordinator/Administrative Assistant!

Status: Full timeposition (40 hours)

Standard working hours: Dayshift, 8am to 5pm EST

Location: Applicants must live in Virginia. Hybrid position and requires office visits 2 x week (Virginia Beach OR Richmond, VA).

Required Qualifications

  • High School Grad or Equivalent

  • One-year customer service experience required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Medical Records Preferred

  • One-year experience in a member and/or provider engagement role preferred

  • Medicare/Medicaid/Commercial experience/knowledge highly preferred

Special skills and/or knowledge:

  • Analytical skills - proficient using Microsoft Office including Microsoft Excel

  • Openly and actively communicates information and takes initiative to communicate extensively

  • Ability to handle difficult situations diplomatically

  • Effective interpersonal skills, collaboration, and listening skills

  • Ability to build strong relationships within and outside the health plan

  • Negotiation skills

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Providing "best in class" service and is the first point of contact, ambassador and concierge for assigned region/membership

  • Utilizes skills to retain members in the assigned provider practices and supports new membership after the initial enrollment period

  • Coordinates in office wellness events as a result of interventions management to improve gap closures in the field

  • Coordinates with Health Education and contacts members telephonically to schedule them for appointments

  • Participates in the Member Advisory and Provider Advisory Meetings as needed

  • Maintains superior member/provider relationships and ensures the highest quality of care coordination.

Job Summary
