- High School Diploma or GED
Experience
- Two (2) years experience performing specialized clerical duties
OR Combined education and experience qualifications
- An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications on a year-per-year basis
Other requirements
- Must possess a valid Arizona driver's license or have the ability to obtain by the time of hire.
- Training that may be provided on-the-job: FEMA NIMS - IS100 and 700; Safety; Payroll; PREA.
- Prior to hiring, the Sheriff's Office requires that all candidates pass a background review.

Essential Job Tasks (This is not an all-inclusive list of all job duties that may be required; employees will be required to perform other related duties as assigned.)
- Prepares and processes specialized paperwork.
- Provides information to the public and other agencies.
- Creates and manages computer database applications.
- Compiles monthly reports/records for expenditures related to the Division.
- Maintains calendars and schedule activities.
- Provides administrative support including entry of time into the payroll system, final timecard reports, and overtime reports.
- Tracks recidivism statistics and other data in support of funding for grants and to comply with MFR requirements.
- Manages and tracks purchase orders and vendor activity and maintains balances.
- Assists with the organization of Division events such as ceremonies and special projects.
- Maintains records of applicants, program participants, and program activities.
- Maintains completed division program participant files from various sections; reviews to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Provide customer service in person, via email and telephone with the general public, other law enforcement entities, attorneys, County offices, and employees of MCSO.
- Trains and directs the workflow of lower-level administrative staff as directed.
- Maintains inventory, orders, and stocks supplies within the Division.
- Attends meetings, take notes, generates reports, and distributes to appropriate personnel.
- Assists with processing volunteer files.
- Updates division rosters, contact information, and other essential lists.
- Sorts and distributes documents received in the administration area.
- Logs and tracks Employee Performance Evaluations (EPAs) and incident reports; enters data into the RMS system.
- Prepares and completes master copies, forms, reports, articles, grant justifications, and other materials as needed.
- Maintains employee division files.
- Files reports, correspondence, summaries, and other documents pertaining to programs.
- Responds to inquiries for information regarding available programs.
- Comprehend and interpret MCSO Policies and Procedures and the Maricopa County Administrative Manual.
- Performs additional duties and projects assigned by supervisor.
