Job Summary: The Credit Card Data Analyst & Relationship Manager will function as the Relationship Support Partner between the bank, its clients, and Elan, a leading provider of credit card transaction and management services. You will collaborate closely with internal partners, vendors, and clients to optimize the performance and efficiency of the credit card program. This position requires strong data analysis skills, an ability to align stakeholders, and a deep understanding of credit card systems and processes to ensure the best possible outcomes for all parties involved.

Essential Duties:

  • Data Analysis & Reporting:
    • Analyze credit card transaction data, customer behaviors, and key performance metrics (KPMs) to generate insights that will help improve credit card offerings.
    • Prepare detailed reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
    • Use advanced data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau) to uncover trends, identify risks, and recommend improvements to optimize the credit card program.
  • Vendor Relationship Management:
    • Serve as a point of contact between the bank, clients, and Elan, the credit card transaction and management services provider.
    • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with Elan to ensure smooth communication, effective problem-solving, and the timely resolution of any operational issues.
    • Work with Elan to implement and optimize systems that improve transaction management, data quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Client Relationship & Support:
    • Function as a liaison between the bank and its clients, ensuring that their needs are met and that they are receiving the best possible service related to credit card transactions and management.
    • Respond to client inquiries, issues, and requests, ensuring clear communication and quick resolution of any concerns.
    • Gather client feedback to continuously improve the bank's credit card services and work closely with Elan to address specific client requirements.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Align with internal teams across product, marketing, compliance, and operations to ensure that credit card offerings meet business objectives and client needs.
    • Coordinate with stakeholders to integrate vendor data and insights into the bank's strategic planning and decision-making.
    • Collaborate with internal teams and Elan to support the launch of new credit card products, services, and enhancements, ensuring that data flows smoothly between all parties.
  • Performance Monitoring & Optimization:
    • Continuously monitor the performance of credit card transactions, systems, and vendor services, providing insights on trends, performance gaps, and potential areas of improvement.
    • Track KPIs related to credit card transactions, customer engagement, fraud detection, and chargebacks, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
    • Collaborate with Elon to address any performance issues, optimize system functionality, and implement improvements.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the credit card program, working with both internal teams and Elan to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
    • Recommend and implement enhancements to data management processes, reporting systems, and transaction management workflows.
    • Develop best practices for managing credit card transaction data and ensuring that all systems and processes comply with regulatory and operational standards.
  • Compliance & Risk Management:
    • Ensure that credit card transaction data and processes comply with relevant regulations, privacy laws, and bank policies.
    • Work closely with the compliance team to ensure that all vendor interactions meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
    • Help identify potential risks related to credit card transactions and work with Elan and internal teams to mitigate these risks.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI, and familiarity with credit card transaction management systems.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively consult with clients, vendors (such as Elan), and internal teams.
  • Relationship Management: Proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with both clients and external vendors.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze large datasets, identify trends, and present data-driven recommendations.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving abilities to address complex data and operational challenges.

Minimal Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Data Analytics, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, financial services, retail banking, or credit card industry, with direct experience collaborating with vendors or external service providers.
  • Experience working with credit card transaction services providers such as Elon or similar vendors.
  • Knowledge of the regulatory environment surrounding credit card transactions and financial data.
  • Experience in vendor management, including performance monitoring, service level agreements (SLAs), and contract management.
  • Familiarity with financial performance metrics, including transaction volumes, fraud detection, and chargeback ratios.

**Department hours are Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00
