Knowledge Manager, Senior

This is an opportunity to create efficiency in a critical DoD Program. As a change management consultant, you'lluse your knowledge and skills in applying knowledge management (KM) concepts, methods, and tools to address the information management, information sharing cadence, and research needs of the organization. You will work closely with senior government officials to design, develop, and implement a KM strategy and to manage the overall process for the organization to plan, coordinate, manage, share, and control information. You will identify and analyze data, information, and knowledge requirements to facilitate the discovery and dissemination of decision-quality information. To achieve these objectives, you will leverage the interaction of people, processes, and enterprise technologies to capture, store, organize, share, and control implicit and explicit knowledge. You will leverage continuous process improvement techniques to improve mission processes and enhance access to relevant cross-functional information in a collaborative, timely, and contextual manner. In short, you will promote organizational information as a reusable, shared, protected, consistent, and compliant resource.

Technology is a critical aspect of the work we do. You are well-versed in Information Technology platforms, software, and tools to enable or enhance knowledge management capabilities, including management and enforcement of the use of metadata, enabling data to be accessed, tagged, and researched regardless of physical location, media, source, owner, or defining characteristics. A key outcome of this effort will be assisting and educating users on authoritative data sources, data services, and presentation tools to meet mission objectives. From unrealized potential to systemic challenges, you will provide your client with a holistic view of their organizationto transformtheir practices.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in knowledge management

  • Experience working closely with senior government executives or military officials

  • Ability to facilitate information-gathering activities, including strategy development sessions, requirement elicitation discussion, and data discovery

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Knowledge of Information Technology platforms, software, and tools, including Microsoft SharePoint

  • Knowledge of metadata, tagging, or principles to aid in the organization, discovery, and use of digital information

  • Ability to be a self-starter and work independently with minimal direct oversight

  • KM Institute Certified Knowledge Manager Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
