We are seeking a highly skilled Quantum System Design Engineer to join our passionate team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in developing superconducting Quantum subsystems (Qubits, amplifiers, ... etc) and integrating them. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement cutting-edge tools tailored to the design of superconducting quantum systems and other types of qubits.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design and refine Quantum EDA solutions and workflows for quantum computing applications.
  • Drive the validation and verification process of system models, ensuring accuracy and reliability in predicting qubit behavior and performance.
  • Architect and optimize computational workflows to address specific challenges inherent in superconducting qubit systems and their Hamiltonian representations.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in computational electromagnetics and quantum computing, actively contributing to ongoing research initiatives.
  • Be flexible and willing to work with teams in the US and Asia time zones.

Qualifications

  • Required skills: you must have these qualifications. Applications that do not list how you have demonstrated each of these items will not be considered.
  1. Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field.
  2. Track record of running/troubleshooting Quantum systems. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to tackle complex challenges in quantum computing.
  3. Experience with Keysight ADS/QuantumPro or other EDA environments (e.g., CST Microwave Studio, EMPro, Ansys HFSS, COMSOL Multiphysics).
  4. Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience designing qubits, and quantum amplifiers, and integrating them into Quantum systems.
  5. Strong proficiency in scientific programming in the context of developing tools for Quantum design. Preferably in Python.
  6. Can research Quantum-specific topics translating things from the application side to the development.
  • Desired qualifications. Mentioned how you have demonstrated these skills will help your application. You will need to use these skills on the project.
  • Knowledge or experience in the Hamiltonian analysis of superconducting quantum circuits.
  • Can prototype features with scripting in Python within the ADS environment.
  • Can benchmark against published literature data.
  • Familiarity with parallel computing techniques and high-performance computing (HPC) environments.

California pay range: MIN $138,960.00, MIDPOINT $185,280.00 - MAX $231,600.00
