LOCATION: Chicago, IL or Buffalo, NY

From your PASSION to ours

The employee provides leadership and direction to continuously improve the effectiveness of the Industrial IT network and Materials / Tool (IE: PLCs', HMI, Industrials PC's, servers, software's, Data acquisition & recording tools, ...) and related operation throughout the different USA's operations, while supporting the development of control systems and processes required in maintaining a safe operation with environmental integrity. As a Project Manager, you will maintain full responsibility of the design, engineering, and execution of advanced analytics and automation technology projects

Travel will be required up to 50% of the time to plants based in NY, WI, CA, ID, NH, VT,TN, MI & AZ or to manufacturers/vendors site locations.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Provide expertise to the different manufacturing sites to achieve operational results.
  • Audit the Industrial IT installations, report any deficiencies or obsolescence and propose action plans to correct.
  • Develop and lead the Long-Term Plans for Lactalis USA, setting priorities of investment.
  • Review all plant floor documentation that is being filled manually and propose / implement automated solution to reduce labor cost and improve accuracy of reports.
  • Review with the plants all process & packaging KPI's, study solutions to have them seen real time with the employees in plant floors, offices, break room, ...and propose / implement solutions
  • Conduct and maintain the Industrial IT Risk Assessment of all USA plants.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for improvement in safety, quality, reliability, cost, and customer service. Reduce equipment failures and preserve asset value. Identify and/or provide input on appropriate technology, equipment and methodology used in the facility, or having an opportunity to improve operating results or costs.
  • Provide training as necessary within the organization.
  • Interact with the Administrative IT team and French Corporate Engineering Industrial IT team to assess best practices and implement them in Lactalis USA.
  • Help plant management for staff hiring, reviewing performance and providing feedback, determining training and development needs, and providing coaching and work direction. Promote a team focusing on excellence in all activities including those required to support safety, operational productivity, quality, loss reduction, people development, and cost improvement.
  • Ensure the safety of all employees, visitors and contractors within the areas of responsibility by providing appropriate safety training and awareness.
  • Ensure that all legislative requirements and standards are met, and results reported to appropriate parties (internal & external)

Requirements

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

Education

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience

  • 7+ years of Project Management or Project Engineering experience in instrumentation, process controls, SCADA systems, cybersecurity, metering systems, and/or data monitoring tools.
  • Food manufacturing plant operation.
  • Waste handling and recycling

Specialized Knowledge

  • Rockwell (Allen Bradley software's & material),
  • Automated reporting tools,
  • KPI's automated panels/displays.

Skills/Abilities

  • Computer Skills: including but not limited to Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
  • Communications skills to work with plant employees at all levels.
