About the Role:

Responsible for creating and implementing strategies to develop and enhance the leadership capabilities of our leaders across the commercial organization. Collaborate with key stakeholders to design and deliver impactful leadership programs, foster a culture of continuous learning and development, and drive organizational effectiveness.

Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive leadership development strategy aligned with Commercial business objectives and talent needs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify leadership development needs and design targeted programs and initiatives

  • Create and implement a leadership competency framework to guide leadership development efforts, ensuring it is consistent with Neurocrine's values and leadership expectations while also tailored to the leadership needs and capabilities within each Commercial division/department (Sales, Market Access, Operations, etc.)

  • Design and deliver high-impact leadership development programs, including workshops, coaching, and customized learning experiences. Lead the creation and delivery of engaging and effective learning experiences that align with organizational goals and objectives, while also ensuring that the training content complies with and integrates NBI Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, and Medical requirements

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of Commercial leadership development initiatives and use data-driven insights to continually improve programs, utilizing data and analytics to measure the impact of leadership development initiatives

  • Partner with HR Business Partners to identify high-potential talent and create tailored development plans to support their engagement, growth and retention. Select, lead, develop, mentor, and evaluate leadership development to ensure effectiveness, efficiency, impact, and value

  • Provide coaching and guidance to leaders at all levels to foster their professional growth and enhance their leadership skills, driving a high-performance leadership culture through the assessment and development of leadership capabilities that drive strategy and focus on achieving maximum outcomes and results

  • Collaborate with senior commercial and divisional leadership to optimize leadership capabilities for executing strategy, maximizing impact, and driving results, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while collaborating with diverse teams and levels of leadership

  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in leadership development and talent management to drive innovation and excellence, as well as continuously explore alternative methods of delivering training and new approaches, practices, and processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of training (including distance-learning, e-learning, learning portals)

  • Build relationships with external vendors and consultants to leverage expertise and resources for leadership development initiatives, as well as manage and monitor detailed meetings and training budgets, control documents, and financial data reports/analysis

  • Develop and implement strategies to support leadership in driving business outcomes and organizational effectiveness, as well as identify and address learning and development needs of leaders at all levels across the commercial organization

Requirements:
  • BS/BA degree required, major in business or technical field preferred and Progressive pharmaceutical, medical device, biotech or healthcare sales and leadership development experience. 10+ years in sales training and development or similar relevant experience

  • Proven track record of designing, delivering, and measuring impactful leadership development programs

  • Demonstrated understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies, including innovative, creative solutions

  • Strong relationship-building, and influencing skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels

  • High level of emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, including written and presentation/facilitation skills

  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Recognized as a strong, successful leader and trainer with experience coaching and developing leaders at various levels within an organization

  • Strong understanding of leadership competencies and behavioral assessments

  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting to assess needs and impact

  • Experience working in a fast-paced corporate environment navigating ambiguity and complexity

  • Evaluates key business / leadership challenges and completes complex, ambiguous initiatives having cross-functional impact

  • Highly motivated, passionate self-starter, analytical, detail-oriented, solutions-focused

  • Progressive pharmaceutical, medical device, biotech or healthcare sales and leadership experience, ideally with knowledge and experience across multiple facets of a commercial organization

  • Advanced sales training and development knowledge and experience

  • Demonstrated success as a leader - hiring, developing and leading a high performing team

  • Strong knowledge of best practices and challenges of a high performing field sales organization

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $170,400.00-$246,800.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 35% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
