Electric Engineering is responsible for PG&E's electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration, and emergency response.The Electric Grid Interconnection team, "EGI", processes customers' requests to connect generators to PG&E's system, including Behind-the-Meter resources, and large generators under the purview of the California ISO. Position Summary This job is represented by Engineers and Scientists of California (ESC) subject to collective bargaining. This job is the fully qualified, career oriented, Senior Interconnection Manager position that requires mastery of the journey level Interconnection Manager job duties. Under general direction, exercises judgment and discretion and is responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of regulatory changes and provides a single point of contact for those projects. This position develops the controls and business processes needed to comply with CPUC and FERC mandates and interfaces directly with regulators, customers, and trade groups. Projects require significant coordination and partnership with other departments and entities such as: CAISO, Division Engineering, Service Planning, Project Management, System Protection (T&D) Transmission Operations, Tariffs, Transmission Planning, Electric Transmission Rates, Law, Metering, ES&S and Billing. Assignments will have high visibility, require extensive tariff application experience and often require specific discipline and areas of expertise. Routinely asked to consult on projects that are assigned to other Interconnection Managers, including interconnection projects. Routinely consulted by other lines of business for interconnection expertise. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be the Oakland General Office at 300 Lakeside Dr. PG&E is providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the timeofthe job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual hourly rate paid to anindividualwill be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses orcertifications,experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreement, and internalequity. Under the terms of the collective bargaining agreement, the hourly rate range for this position is $71.31 to $86.98subject to collectively bargained wage increases. Job Responsibilities
