We're hiring a Project Coordinator to join our Asia OPS team. This position is based out of our Cranberry Woods HQ facility but can be performed remotely. The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting a Project Manager in various aspects of project coordination during the project lifecycle. Once experience and qualification are achieved, may be assigned portions of a project under supervision of a Project Manager. Example project disciplines include Engineering, Field Services, Software, Innovation/Product Development, and Process Improvement. All project management is performed in accordance with the established Westinghouse policies, procedures, systems, and requirements. Your Day to Day:
- Responsible for managing the shipment logistics, customs invoices etc., to ensure successful equipment delivery.
- Travel to customer site to coordinate / resolve issues as needed.
- Track and disposition project information to support overall project success: Perform project status planning and tracking by working closely with team to gather task status input, track requirements completion, perform schedule maintenance, track risks and report their status, track project finances such as labor charges, invoices, and purchase orders; and develop cost reports.
- Support PM function on internal / external meetings. Including meeting logistics, collect meeting agenda, meeting presentation, record meeting minutes, track action items.
- Support the correspondence/document lead in incoming project letters, internal / external documentations, and track document/correspondence workflow.
- Promote continuous improvement to enhance completion of assigned tasks: Identify, assess, and implement improvement opportunities that will add value with approval from supervisor/Project Manager.
- Develop material for project status reporting: Assist supervisor/Project Manager in establishing and maintaining visual display and tracking systems.
- Develop positive relationships with team and stakeholders to effectively complete project assignments: Interface with stakeholders (internal, external, suppliers, team members, product management, resource management, etc.). Gain fundamental understanding of industry technology and project execution concepts.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or related technical discipline (Electrical, Mechanical). Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- 0-4 years of project management related experience or experience in a technical role in nuclear or construction industry.
- Any site experiences, project management certification or controls-related certification (scheduling, estimating, earned value, risk, etc.) will be viewed as a plus.
Skills and Competencies:
- Basic interpersonal skills such as effective verbal and written communications, ability to interact well with team members, ability to develop relationships with internal/external stakeholders, and ability to make decisions and carry out multiple tasks as assigned with guidance from supervisory Project Managers and mentors.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools. Knowledge and skill with Primavera or Microsoft Project a plus.
- Understand transformation of data to information for visual reports. Understand database concepts in order to manage data within systems.
- Will be expected to complete assigned training in Westinghouse systems, procedures, and policies applicable to assignments.
