$17 per hour

Friday - Monday, PM Shift (hours vary)

Position Overview:

As a cargo agent, you will assist customers during the shipping and handling process by expediting and routing movement of incoming and outgoing cargo and freight shipments for air transportation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):

* Builds up and breaks down cargo pallets and freight containers following guidelines;

* Identifies cargo that does not meet customer or company standards and or guidelines;

* Obtains proper security documents for all shipments;

* Organizes freight within the warehouse according to the base storage plan;

* Properly and safely loads and unloads freight;

Required Skills and Experience:

* Maintain and treat all information as confidential;

* Possess the tact to deal with all levels of employees and client representatives;

* Must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English;

* Must be able to verbally direct in English;

* A valid driver's license is required for this position.

Work Environment:

* Warehouse - physically strenuous, prolonged periods of time standing with exposure to noise (may be

excessive at times), safe but potentially unpleasant odors, varying temperatures and humidity, in and around heavy moving equipment.

Physical Demands:

* Must be able to squat, stoop, kneel, bend, stretch, crawl in awkward positions;

* Must be able to lift, push pull up to 75 pounds at times;

* May be exposed to hazards inherent in airport operations, including noise, vehicles, equipment, and weather, all of which are well-managed with a high level of training, personal protective equipment, and safety procedures.
