Summary:

This role will oversee construction activities in the South Division including smaller to lager maintenance capital and expense projects including pipe replacements, anomaly dig repairs, integrity hydrotest, and emergency response. We will also expect this position to oversee any projects associated with improvements or install of meter and compressor stations. The selected candidate will adhere to all Partnership policies and procedures and operate within its budget set forth annually by the Partnership. This position is a key component in ensuring that assets are maintained up to ET standards. This position will assist Operations, Corrosion, Regulatory, Environmental, GIS, Safety and Pipeline Integrity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Manages, coordinates and monitors all aspects of construction projects for gas and crude oil assets for both interstate and intrastate system. This includes pipeline, compressor stations, dehydration facilities and metering facilities.
  • Plans and coordinates construction activity, material delivery, and all work involving construction crews and inspectors. Identify, train, and manage qualified inspectors for construction projects.
  • Monitors construction expenses and provides routine updates to project manager.
  • Works closely with the Project Engineering team to effectively manage changes to scope and/or design of projects during construction. Provides timely feedback to contractors during change process to ensure efficient production. Manages the change order process per ETP construction contract.
  • Works closely with the Project Engineering and Operations in development of project scope, contractor selection, and bid exhibits prior to bid meetings.
  • Detailed knowledge of company policies and procedures, industry practices, construction standards, welding procedures, and OSHA rules and regulations.
  • Prepare and submit completion reports, job books, etc.
  • Ensure project objectives are met during the construction phase including safety, environmental, security, quality, schedule, cost controls and community relations.


Requirements:
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum 8+ years related experience which should include a good knowledge of Industry Practices, construction standards, welding procedures, pipeline maintenance and operations. Also the use and interpretation of pipeline schematics, as-builts, blueprints and construction drawings.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Ability to obtain CWI as needed
  • Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project

  • Usually, normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
