Job Overview Assist with the coordination of laboratory projects or research studies in a particular discipline, make independent contributions to projects and studies based on professional training or functional experience. Essential Functions Independently perform experiments and record data according to research protocols. May maintain and oversee animal colony management and animal husbandry. Solve problems using combined research knowledge. Analyze research results. Interpret data and assist in judging validity of data. Organize data search and analysis procedures. Assist in establishing test controls, criteria and research standards. Assist with the design of complex data processing systems to analyze research data. Accomplish assigned results for projects/studies, or for significant aspects of larger, complex assignments. Serve as seasoned professional. Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time. Required Education Bachelor's Degree. Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement. Required Experience Three (3) years of relevant experience. Proficient in cell culture, flow cytometry, protein analysis, molecular biology, and be comfortable will cell culture and small animal microsurgical techniques. Additional Qualifications Considered Doctorate in biology, cancer biology, immunology, physiology, or related fields.
