Location: Account Executives must live within their assigned territory. Preferred Location for this territory is Tyler, Texas. Alternative locations are Beaumont, Texas or Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Coverage Area: This role requires daily and weekly travel within the assigned territory. Car Allowance and Mileage included in compensation package.

Myriad Genetics discovers, develops, and commercializes molecular genetic tests that determine the risk of developing disease, assess disease progression, and guide treatment decisions in Oncology, Women's Health, and Mental Health. Myriad Oncology is looking for a sales professional who is passionate about improving the lives of patients with cancer or risk of cancer. As an account executive, you will sell the Myriad Oncology portfolio of cancer genetic tests to oncologists and other healthcare providers in your assigned territory in addition to providing education on Myriad Oncology science, research, test results, and interpretation. Myriad Oncology tests can be used to guide personalized medical management decisions and improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities



  • Sell the physician on the value of oncology molecular genetics tests and interpretation.
  • Identify, develop, and manage commercial relationships with Key Opinion leaders in oncology medicine and other key healthcare professionals.
  • Providing In-Service training to clinical practice office staff
  • Working with local phlebotomy providers to streamline specimen acquisition.
  • Identify and facilitate partnerships with pathology labs.
  • Delivering and/or coordinating local talks, arranging peer-to-peer programs to groups, and driving brand advocacy.
  • Coordinating with local health plans that are most relevant to these practices.
  • Must meet expense budget and administrative requirements.
  • Utilize Territory Planning Tools for strategy and planning including target accounts, frequency of calls, etc.
  • Must update Salesforce (CRM) to track targeting, frequency, messaging, and strategic/tactical information.
  • Identify and capitalize on commercial opportunities for growth within a specific region or geography - predominately in the traditional out-patient practices, but also inclusive of institutions, local insurance payors, physician groups, long term care facilities, etc.
  • Manage full lifecycle of the product sales process, including new business development and lead generation via programs and other initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on the development of sales and marketing collateral.
  • Attend local tradeshows, oncology conferences and networking events.
  • Staying current on industry and marketplace trends in the areas of personalized medicine.


Qualifications



  • BS/BA degree required ideally in a related field of study.
  • 3+ years sales experience in biotech, biopharma, molecular and/or blood test diagnostics or capital equipment
  • Experience in Oncology space preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Documented successful track record in sales; history of being a top-level performer in prior roles.
  • Proven ability to manage ever-increasing responsibility and sustain growth.
  • In-depth product knowledge and knowledge of disease states in current field of expertise
  • Models the "consultative sales" approach; recognized by others for excellent selling and presentation skills.
  • Effective at overcoming obstacles and challenges utilizing problem solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of coverage and reimbursement issues.
  • Working knowledge and application of HIPAA laws, privacy, and ethics surrounding patient privacy and information
  • Demonstrates values and ethics that support Myriad's mission, goals, and professional code of conduct.
  • Ability to resist pressure to compromise corporate values despite pressure to make sales.
  • Uses discretion and professionalism as it relates to handling patient and physician information and documentation.
  • Track record of demonstrating integrity, even when inconvenient
  • Must be flexible, innovative, and self-motivated.
  • Systems and Software - proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word and CRM, preferably Salesforce
  • Ability to travel and do overnights as needed.
  • Valid driver's license and driving record that meets safe and satisfactory criteria per Myriad's motor vehicle driving record policy.
