About the role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sales Compensation Analyst to join our Global Sales Compensation Team. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting sales compensation, financial planning, and analysis efforts; while collaborating closely with sales leadership and cross-functional teams within Auctane. You will have opportunities to drive data-driven decision making and provide insights and guidance to sales leadership.

About the team

As part of the Revenue Operations Team, the Global Sales Compensation Team is responsible for the timely and accurate tracking, crediting, and variable pay calculations for Auctan's global sales organization. We are tasked with the development, oversight, implementation, and analysis of Auctane's variable compensation plans and performance. Our primary goal is to reduce complexity while providing adaptability and scalability to the sales organization so that profitability is realized for both the Company and the individual sales representative.

What will you be doing?

Sales Compensation Oversight:




    • Assist in design, implementation, and management of Auctane sales compensation models to ensure accuracy, fairness, and alignment with company goals



Financial Modeling:




    • Build, enhance, and maintain financial models to support sales forecasting, quota setting, and performance tracking.
    • Provide insights and recommendations based on modeling
    • Accrual reporting and performance pacing



Data Analysis:




    • Analyze complex and robust datasets to uncover trends, identify risks, and support sales strategy decisions.
    • Ensure data integrity and attention to detail in all reporting



Collaboration:




    • Work closely with cross-functional teams including, Sales, Finance, and Operations to align on goals and to ensure effective communication of insights and recommendations to said groups



SQL & Data Management:




    • Leverage SQL or other relational databases to query, organize, and analyze data as needed to support business objectives



Problem Solving:




    • Navigate ambiguity and find creative solutions to satisfy the needs of the Sales Org, even with incomplete or imperfect data



Process Improvement:




    • Identify opportunities for process optimization and drive initiatives to enhance data accuracy and reporting efficiency



What are we looking for?

Experience:




    • 2-3 years of experience in Sales Compensation, FP&A, Sales Finance, or a similar analytical role



Technical Skills:




    • Intermediate to excellent financial modeling skills
    • Working knowledge of SQL or other relational databases
    • Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools



Soft Skills:




    • Strong attention to detail and the ability to find insights in complex datasets
    • Excellent communication skills and presentation skills; telling a story with data
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with leaders and cross-functional teams
    • Comfortable working in ambiguous situations and finding solutions with minimal direction
    • Positive attitude, coachable, and an eagerness to learn



Education:




    • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field is preferred

  • Experience with Sales Compensation Management Tools
  • Report building Experience within Salesforce
  • Process development / enablement experience
  • Worked in an environment that has recurring, as well as transactional components in a comp plan.

Travel Requirements



  • Less than 10% travel required during a calendar year
  • 2 Days remote and 3 Days in office, per week, at Austin Office for those in the Austin metro area.
